A car that can go
from 0-to-62-mph sprint of 3.7 seconds,
has 552hp, from last year's 512hp, and 44 lb lesser in weight. Thanks to its
engine which is 66 pounds lighter than the 2008 Gallardo. The new Gallardo also consumes eighteen percent better fuel
economy than the previous unit. Due to its direct fuel injection, the LP560 is
easier on the pocket compared to the old one, especially now that gas prices
are unstable.

The new unit has
improved its weight to increase power and be environmentally friendly. But
there is more to the LP560 other than its weight-to-power ratio. It can now
shift 40 percent faster, when it comes to its E-sequential manual transmission.
It also has a launch control program called "thrust mode" and
"Corsa setting" which raises
the threshold of stability control intervention and sharpens shifts. A new
suspension was made for 2009 Gallardo that the press has exaggerated its
description that you will want it to be your suspension ( Even Lamborghini
itself was surprised with their words). Available in three colors, notable of
which is "Nero Nemesis".

Lamborghini has
conducted a demonstration for the press to let them see what it is really made
of. The "-4" in LP560-4 stands for its four wheel drive but
it has -30 torque in the front wheels thus having poor pulling power. One
driver concluded that the Gallardo loves to oversteer. He accidentally
discovered this while turning right from Sahara Boulevard onto the Strip. Also having a 31 percent more downforce and said to top
speed at 202 mph (53 pounds of lift
at the front axle and 115 pounds of lift at the rear) compared to its rival Ferrari's F430 that has 616 pounds downforce at 186 mph top
speed.

The 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 is sold at pre ordered at $201,000.

41 years after its debut, the
1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500, a blend of sports and muscle car that was
named after Caroll Shelby, is still considered one of the best muscle cars. The
car that I've been eyeing for quite some time and hopefully soon will be able
to purchase one.
History
During 1967 there was a
demand for more civility, from the 1965 and 66 mustang and with the
introduction of the '67 units, regular Stangs could get a 320-bhp 390-cid
four-barrel V-8. Caroll Shelby,
naturally, went further. His GT 350 retained its 289-cid V-8 with its 306-bhp
rating. And a new model was made called "Police Interceptor", the
1967 Shelby GT 500, got a reworked 428-cid.
But the 4280-cid was saved
for bigger Fords due to its 345bhp. A cast-aluminum medium-rise intake manifold
from Ford's 427, twin 600-cfm Holley four-barrel carburetors and other tweaks
for a conservative rating of 355 bhp was added to the unit. Ford's near
race-ready 427-cid V-8 were equipped to the Shelby Mustang that was made mad
during production for some dealers.
General Characteristics of
the 67 GT500:

interior ttrim
New
factory options are Air-conditioning and Power Steering
8000-rpm

All of these are Shelby

To improve its performance The GT 500s were set with
fiberglass body pieces with an elongated nose,4 body side intakes, ansa hood
with functional scoops. Borrowed from the Mercury Cougar the fiberglass tail
had a molded spoiler and sequential turn-signal lamps. High-beam headlights
were mounted in the center of the grille (some were moved to the sides to meet
state laws). Twin "Le
Mans" stripes were
dealer-applied options for any 1967 Shelby GT 500.

A "Pony Car" made by Chevrolet ( A division of GM motors) in North america. Introduced on September 1966 frop 1967 to compete with the other "Best" muscle car the Ford Mustang. This card shared a lot from the Pontiac Firebird, from its platform to it majors components. Its name, who had no meaning like the Shelby, was derived from a French dictionary which means "Friend", "Copanion" or "Chum". So if a french called you a Camaro with their slang voice, you shouldn't be offended. Press release back then gave the name "Panther" but the project name of it was Chevrolet XP-836 and some photos labeled it as "Chaparral". When the press asked some Chevy people what a Camaro is, they were answered "it is a small animal that eats MUSTANGS". "Camar" instantly fits Chevy with its list of "C" named cars (e.g. Chevelle, Corvette, Corvair, Chevy).
Bothered by the succes of the Mustang, executives realized that the Corvair (their compact sporty car) would not be able to match the Mustangs sales volume due to its radical engine design and poor sales. the Camaro then was introduced as the same conventional rear drive front engine like its competitors. plus it was designed to fit a variety of power plants in the engine bay.
The 1967-1969 Camaro was the First generation Camaro, the Second was the one used in the movie Transformers as the first Bumblebee and the better Autobot is ow the Fifth generation Camaro.

The supercar that has been creating a lot of buzz on
enthusiast. The 2009 Nissan GT-R is an awesome car that is being compared to
the Porsche 911 but cost less. Even though the GT-R don't offer a manual
transmission it balanced its cons with low MSRP, world-class
handling,face-distorting acceleration, and exceptionally easy to drive. With a
heritage of a Skyline, The 2009 GT-R is repleteed with twin-turbocharged V6
engine and an all-wheel drive.
Some says that technically it is not a Skyline. due to the
fact that it now belongs to the infiniti G series, which is marketed by Nissan
Skyline in Japan.
But with its features such as the Twin turbo engine, all wheel drive and
exterior features the GT-R is definitely the modern day Sklyine.
With lot of Issues before its production, the Nissan
GT-R was made to face the Porsche 997 series-911 Turbo base from its
ancestors (made during 1989-93 to compete with the Porsche 959). There where
two conditions before it got its green light from Carlos Ghos,Nissan's
President and CEO, it has to be sold at a base price of $70,000 and have to be
profitable. The car shouldn't be just an image booster that will be sold a lost. Now that the conditions were achieved it has been confirmed that the 2009 Nissan GT-R can match its competitor in the market, having a reasonable price that no other brands have it will deifinitely be a hit on its market.
Autopartswarehouse note:
The unbelievable pricing was possible, thanks to its mass production techiniques and some twicks it made on the supercar. Some of which are 473-horsepower twin-turbocharged V6, a dual-clutch transmission and a trick suspension with adjustable dampers. We should also thank the chasiss it has, a GT-R all-new PM ("Premium Midship") chassis. A chasiss taht is distinguished from the FM platform that underpins the 350Z and the Infiniti G35. Demerits are very few and mostly insignificant.

With
rising gas prices, manufacturers has been trying to help consumers with a lot
alternatives. There has been rumors of water cars, choking engines etc. The
most succesful so far is Hybrid cars. What are hybrids? Hybrids are machines
that run on electricity such as a MO-ped, submarines etc. A Hyrbid car, which
are usually gas-electric, can run on both gas and electric power. A gas
powered car runs transmission by fuels from its tank while electric vehicles
has batteries that runs the transmission and the transmission runs the wheels.
There are three minimun requirements for a car to be useful to humans. First is
it should drive atleast 300 miles before refueling. Second, it shall has the
capacity to be refuled quickly and easy. Lastly keep up with traffice and
different roads. All of these three can be achieved by a gas powered machine
but can create a large volume of pollution. A electric car on the other hand,
creates no pollution but can hardly go up to 50 miles per hour. The
hybrid is a compromise of both strategies, it tries to decrease consumption of
gas while having a long drive with less harm to the environment.
Gasoline-electric hybrid cars contain the following parts:
- Gasoline engine - The hybrid car has a gasoline engine much like the one you will find on most cars. However, the engine on a
hybrid is smaller and uses advanced technologies to reduce emissions
and increase efficiency.
- Fuel tank - The fuel tank
in a hybrid is the energy storage device for the gasoline engine.
Gasoline has a much higher energy density than batteries do. For
example, it takes about 1,000 pounds of batteries to store as much
energy as 1 gallon (7 pounds) of gasoline.
- Electric motor - The electric motor
on a hybrid car is very sophisticated. Advanced electronics allow it to
act as a motor as well as a generator. For example, when it needs to,
it can draw energy from the batteries to accelerate the car. But acting
as a generator, it can slow the car down and return energy to the
batteries.
- Generator - The generator is similar to an electric motor, but it acts only to produce electrical
power. It is used mostly on series hybrids (see below).
- Batteries - The batteries in a hybrid car are the energy storage device for the electric motor.
Unlike the gasoline in the fuel tank, which can only power the gasoline
engine, the electric motor on a hybrid car can put energy into the
batteries as well as draw energy from them.
- Transmission - The transmission
on a hybrid car performs the same basic function as the transmission on
a conventional car. Some hybrids, like the Honda Insight, have
conventional transmissions. Others, like the Toyota Prius, have
radically different ones, which we'll talk about later.
Autopartswarehouse notes:
Hybrids have two kind a parallel hybrid an Series Hybrid. A Parallel has a fuel tank that can supply gasoline to the engine and batteries for electric motor. On the other hand a Series Hybrid has a gasoline engine that turns a generator, which can either charge
the batteries or power an electric motor that drives the transmission.
