2009 Honda Accord for Europe Unveiled
Honda has decided to treat us with details of their new Honda Accord for Europe, which comes in both sedan versions and break. Physically, the production version does not differ greatly from the Accord Tourer Concept launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year. The new car is wider and apparently lower than current, which allows for more interior space and a cockpit-type scoreboard with floating instruments and multifunction backlit LCD display menu. The new Agreement also uses a platform more rigid and new front and rear multi-link suspension.
Honda promise this time for a better and more efficient engines. For this, the new agreement comes with options between two petrol engines and a new diesel ultra-clean. This is officially the first model to receive their second-generation i-DTEC diesel engine, which produces 148bhp and 350Nm, not to mention the multi-stage fuel injection technology, a better system of exhaust gas recirculation, and the particulate filter Special used to much lower emissions. Petrol options would be between 2.0 liters producing 154bhp and a 2.4-litre i-VTEC producing 197bhp. At present, all engines are equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, though a 5-speed automatic is optional.

Prices are not yet, but the new sedan is expected to arrive somewhere in mid-2008, followed by the estate version a few months later. The car will be officially unveiled to the public at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.
